Passed away on Thursday, May 5th, 2022. The daughter of the late Herbert & Margaret (Van Brunt) Bell, Shirley was born on June 21st, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1954. She married Gordon Smith. He predeceased her on September 10th, 1990. Shirley retired from General Motors and then went to work at Gladwin Hospital. She belonged to Wagarville United Methodist in Gladwin, Michigan. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.

Shirley is survived by siblings Gerald Bell, Al Roggow, Rose Roggow, & Ron (Dianne) Roggow; Sister-in-law Elaine Smith, as well many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Shirley is predeceased by her husband Gordon Smith; parents Herb & Margaret Bell; stepmother Emma Bell; sister Alvina and Ernest Kunitzer; sister-in-law Joan Bell; brother-in-law Bill Smith; and nephew Ken Kunitzer.
