Shirley Fay Moreno Bridgeport, Michigan Went to be with her Lord, Monday October 24, 2016 with her husband of 57 years at her side. Age 80 years. The oldest child of the late Rev. Jack and Linnie (Scott) Honeycutt was born September 10, 1936 in Bessemer, Alabama. She moved from Alabama to Michigan in 1954, where she continued growing up and then graduating from Shepherd High School, Class of 1956. She met and fell in love with the only man in her life, Raymond Moreno. They married on August 22, 1959 and remained in love for 57 years. Shirley was a member of Bridgeport Community Church. Surviving besides her husband, Raymond, are her granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Larry McPeek; two great grandchildren, Mattie and Aiden McPeek who were the real love of her life. Two brothers and their wives, Harry C. and Bonnie (Cottrell) Honeycutt; Terry M. and Janice (Payne) Honeycutt; numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Ray and Robert Asbury; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Marjorie Honeycutt; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dan and Rose Moreno; her brothers-in-law, Louie Moreno, Robert Adams and Thad Scribner and a sister-in-law and her husband, Sue and Mingo Rios. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Bridgeport Community Church. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
