Shirley M. Benzenberg (Doran)

Shirley M. Benzenberg (Doran) Saginaw, Michigan Our loving mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, age 87 years. She was born on May 10, 1930, daughter of the late Roy and Beulah (Yancer) Doran, in Saginaw. Shirley married the love of her life, Robert Benzenberg on June 24, 1950. He predeceased her on July 12, 2009. She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. Shirley loved her church, enjoyed volunteering and served for 15 years on the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She loved all kinds of crafts and crossword puzzles. God gave her a remarkable memory and she never forgot anyones important day with cards and prayers. She was proud to be a stay at home mom and was an excellent caretaker of her grandchildren. Shirley will be missed by her children, Lee (Sharon) Benzenberg, Brad (Debra) Benzenberg and Linda (Benjamin) Gombar; her grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Benzenberg, Tim (Rebecca) Benzenberg, Jillian Benzenberg, Ashley (Chris) Mclauchan and Sarah Gombar; great grandchildren, Caleb, Caden, Owen and Reed Benzenberg. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider First Presbyterian Church.
