Sidney Dennis Strong, Jr.

Beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the age of 83 years. The son of the late Sidney and Ann (Slaybaugh) Strong, Sr. was born on July 14, 1935 in Saginaw. He married Barbara J. Smith on August 3, 1957; she survives him. He retired from GM after 38 years of service in 1992. Sidney enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, listening to Johnny Cash and most especially cherished time spent with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are their children: Denise Siler, Vicki Strong, grandchildren: Carrie (Jeff) Nohel, Holly Bigelow, great-grandchildren: Jeffrey Nohel, Jace Nohel, Cameron Nohel, Cassidy Cooper, Khloe Cooper, Caidenn Cooper, his brother Robert (Arlene) Strong, his sister, Dorothy Tank and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sidney was predeceased by his son, Sidney D. Strong III, and his sisters Annabelle Rigg and Rose Strong. In accordance with Sidneys wishes, cremation has taken place and no public services will be held.
