Sidney James Anger

Anger, Sidney James Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth, after a long illness, age 81 years. Sidney was born in Saginaw, Michigan January 7, 1932 the son of the late David and Dula (Shirkey) Anger. Sid was a former member of Kochville United Methodist church for 10 years before moving to Higgins Lake, MI. There, he was a member of Higgins Lake Baptist Church for 8 years, where he enjoyed singing his favorite hymn, "How Great Thou Art". Sid was a barber for 12 years in Bridgeport, MI before joining General Motors (Saginaw Steering Gear Division). He retired from GM in 1988 and moved to Higgins Lake. Sid enjoyed singing solos @ church, working at vacation bible school, socializing, and helping others. He had a passion for Detroit Pistons basketball, Detroit Tigers baseball, archery deer hunting, and fishing. Surviving Sid is his wife of 38 years Florence (Lilley) Anger, Step-son Ronald (Karla) Peters Hemlock, MI.; step-daughter, Judy Roy (Denny Swarthout), Merritt Island, Fl.; four grandchildren, Jaimi (Nick) Carter, Freeland, MI, Jennifer Peters-Royal Oak, MI, Richard Reinhardt, Arlington, VA and Vincent (Lynn) Roy, Midland, MI; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaden Carter, Hunter Lynn, Remington, Autumn and Gauge Roy; his brother David (Bobbi) Anger, Chandler, AZ; his sister, Janet (Bill) Sowerby, Greenville, SC ; his uncle, Robert Anger, Indianapolis, IN; a nephew, Joshua (Rachel) Anger, a great niece and nephew, Ella & Graham Anger; first cousins, Kenneth (Marlene) Smith, Midland, MI, Bobby Sutton, Saginaw, MI, Shirley (Mike) Robson, Hale, MI, Rus (Dorothy) Cook, Saginaw, MI, Carol (Norman) Galli, Hilton Head, SC and Charlotte (Bill) Watt, Saginaw, MI. A step-granddaughter, Stacy Roy predeceased him. According to Sid's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
