Sotero Flores Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the age of 81 years. Sotero was born April 22, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Leonardo and Juana (Hernandez) Flores. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. He retired from Sysco Food Wholesales where he worked for many years as a truck driver/warehouse worker. He enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center. Most of all he cherished time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his family with the entirety of heart and they loved him just as much. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years Josephine Flores; children, John (Sylvia) Flores, Lupe Flores, Margaret (Eduardo) Flores, Patty (Jose) Garcia; siblings, Jesse Flores, Victoria Rodriguez, and Mary Landin; grandchildren, Venancio Luna, Rosario Luna, Michael Flores, Juan Flores, Anthony Flores, Lena Flores, Vincent Flores, Marc Ramos, Matthew Ramos; and his great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, Oscar Luna II; siblings, Leonardo Flores, Antonio Vargas, Francisca Mendoza, and Rosa. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with military honors. Burial will take place at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
