Stanley R. Whyte Saginaw, Michigan
Stanley passed away at his home Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the age of 70 years. He was born August 18, 1943 to the late William R. and Irene (Murlik) Whyte. He was self-employed as a painter. He served as Chaplain at the American Legion Post #22. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and taking country joyrides with the love of his life, Jeanette Whitson. Stanley liked to play pool with the many good friends at Maple Gardens. He loved western movies, listening to the "oldies but goodies" and painting. Having a kind heart, he opened his home to rescue dogs and cats. Surviving are six children, Kimberly Whyte, Troy (Nancy) Whyte, Robert Whyte, Kirk (Sherry) Whyte, Heather Whyte and Amanda Whyte; the mother of Heather and Amanda, Christine Duby-Whyte; 15 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Kay) Whyte; one sister-in-law, Judy Whyte; many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by a son, Cary Whyte and his siblings, Robert Whyte and Irene Whyte and the mother of his children, Kathleen Whyte. It was important to Stan to return home from the hospital so that he could enjoy Jeanette's spaghetti dinner as his last wish. The funeral will take place at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Terry Kuhn will officiate. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon till time of service.
