Steven Duane Ruby
Saginaw, Michigan
Steven was born on March 12, 1952, in Saginaw and has peacefully passed away on May 3, 2024, in Montrose. He proudly dedicated 38 years of his life working for SVRC and also attended the Guardian Angel Adult Day Service Program until the pandemic intervened.
Steven will be fondly remembered for the simple yet profound gesture of always telling people "God Bless You". His warm personality shone through as he loved to laugh and was known for his kind and caring nature.
Among his many hobbies and interests, Steven especially cherished Christmas, had a deep appreciation for ocean life, was fascinated by the weather and animals, and held a special love for his hometown of Saginaw. One of his proudest accomplishments was being able to call himself a "Saginaw Man".
In his journey beyond this life, Steven is reunited with his parents: Duane W. Ruby and Janice A. Ruby (Schnarr); his grandparents; several aunts and uncles; two nephews; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law. He is survived by his sisters: Linda (Robert) Tolfree, Cynthia (Jeff) Hawley, Janette Mossner, Pamela Ruby; and brother: Thomas Ruby. Also surviving are an aunt and uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
