Steven Ward Seeley

Steven Ward Seeley Freeland, MI Went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2017 at his home at the age of 66 years. Born in Traverse City, Ml to Ward and Dorothy (Eikey) Seeley, he spent most of his life in the Saginaw, Michigan area. Steve was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married Judy Reynolds in 1977. His life was spent flying, taking flight at the age of 12. He could land and take off on his own with his dad by his side. He would continue flying for over 50 years logging more than 5, 000 hours of flight time. Steve got his commercial flying license at the age of 20 and flew charters all over the US and Canada. He flew his family to Mackinac Island many times and once to New Mexico and Arizona. After his father passed away in 1999, Steve continued with the family business, Seeley Aircraft Service - Saginaw Valley's longest running aviation service. In 2015, the FAA awarded Steve the Aircraft Maintenance Technician of the Year and the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic award for over 50 years of service. He loved flying and working with other aircraft owners to ensure safety was a top priority. Steve is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy, five children: Joel Seeley, Naomi (Josh) Wight, Rachel Seeley, Christina Seeley and Jonathan Seeley, and three grandchildren: Michael Seeley, Lilliana and Drew Wight, his two sisters Lexie (Llew) Keie and Toni (Pat) Bearss, and his nieces and nephews: Corissa (Brad) Messing, Brandon (Laura) Keie, Tara (Doug) Tomman, Shane Bearss, Casey Bearss, Tracey Reeves, Darrell Reeves and Heather (Reeves) Smith. In celebration of his life and faith, the family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Tittabawassee Rd, Saginaw, Ml. Visitation with the family will start at 11 am with a memorial service at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forgotten Truths Ministries.
