Susan M. Sawatzki

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014, with her family at her side. Age 69 years. The daughter of the late William and Helen (White) Town was born March 14, 1945 in Saginaw. She married Timothy Sawatzki on January 29, 1966, he survives her. Along with her husband, Susan assisted in the daily operations of Sawatzki Farms. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and served many years on the Spaulding Township Board, Water Board, Planning Commission and the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, canning, fishing, crafts and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Susan leaves to cherish memories of her with her husband, Tim; her two daughters, Tracy (Michael) Keifer and Cheryl (Curt) Schluckebier; her grandchildren, Brandon and Mitchell Keifer, Jacob and Cody Schluckebier; her sisters, Sandy Blake and Debbie Johndro; her mother-in-law, Grace Sawatzki; her nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Wandzel and her brother-in-law, Leo Marvin Sawatzki. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Road, Bridgeport. Rev. William W. Hessler will officiate with burial at Spaulding Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
