SyAnn Reva Burt (Wells), born on March 4, 1927 in Saginaw.

The only daughter of  Reva Irene Wells (Pierce) and Arthur Bruce Wells took the hand of her Lord today, Sunday July 9, 2023.

She married Robert James Burt, June 20,1953, and enjoyed 46 blissful years of marriage. Robert predeceased her on April 18,1999. SyAnn was also predeceased by her stepmother Louise C. Wells.

SyAnn graduated from Saginaw High School in 1946 with honors. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from Central Michigan University in 1951. She received her Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

SyAnn was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, who are the love of her life.

One son, Bruce Raymond and Susan Burt, their daughter Brandi and Tom Masar (great grandchildren  Trent, Chance, and Tyler Masar). SyAnn was predeceased by her great granddaughter Megan Masar. Three daughters and their families; Deborah Ann and David LaBeff, their son David LaBeff Jr. and their daughter Sasha McKenzie, Lori Lynn and Carl Gulacsik, their son Jericho and Kati Kocot (great grandchildren Jacoby, Sterling, and Kolte Kocot) and their daughter Sabrena Gulacsik. Kimberly Ann and Casey Hathaway, their daughter Kelsey and Nick Williams (great grandchildren Camron and Carter Williams) and their son Casey Hathaway and Megan Galeana.

SyAnn sang and was a member of the acapella choir. She was a  long standing member of the Auxiliary to the VFW 1566. She attended Hopevale Church. Considered a “coffee connoisseur”, Syann enjoyed her coffee with family and friends. She enjoyed meeting new friends and cherishing her long time friendships; over a good cup of coffee or two. She enjoyed helping people, had a big caring and giving heart, and made a positive impact on many lives. SyAnn loved to play Euchre with family and friends any chance she could.

Committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Rd. Saginaw.  Rev. Sam Burk will officiate.

SyAnn’s family would like to thank Dr. Kamaraju and Dr. Duffy and their staff, for their compassionate, dedicated care.

You fought the battles, one by one

Your healing came, from God’s own son

Although your time on Earth is done,

Your life in Heaven, has just begun
