Terri Jean Hubbard

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital, with her family at her side; at the age of 67 years.

The daughter of the late Walter S. and Lorraine M. (Zabelski) Kumar, Terri was born on December 31, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from SS Peter and Paul Catholic High School. Terri continued her education at Delta College. She was an administrative clerk for the State of Michigan until she retired after 40+ years of loyal and dedicated service. Terri was a member of St. Dominic Parish. She enjoyed the outdoors, ice skating, swimming, bowling, and bird watching. Above all, Terri cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son and his wife: Stephen and Amy Hubbard; two grandchildren: Bruce Hubbard, Lily Hubbard; Tim (Cheryl) Kumar, Karen (Mike) O’Toole, Diane (Andy) Lang, Laura (Roy) Cullenbine. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her brother: John Kumar.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate with Rite of Committal to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609; and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan.
