Beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison, with her family at her side; at the age of 94 years.

The daughter of the late Roy and Lillian (Parker) Howey, Thelma was born on January 4, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Wallace R. Biermann on June 17, 1967; he preceded her in death on November 8, 2011. Thelma was a member of German Beneficial Union, and St. Matthew’s Church, Bridgeport. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds in her lovely backyard, puzzles, word puzzles, and camping. Above all, Thelma cherished the time spent with her family.

Left to cherish Thelma’s memory is her loving family members: Ruth and Larry Allen, Wally and Iris Biermann, Joann and Ty Smith, James (Jennifer) Troeger, Ashley Biermann, Abigail and Alyssa Troeger. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Thelma was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Eileen Petro, Mary Lee Bohn, Marcella Marth, Roy Howey Jr.

Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
