Thelma M. Hubbard (Schattilly)

Thelma M. Hubbard (Schattilly) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at New Hope. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Earl and Stella (Greenfield) Samson was born December 13, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Richard Schattilly in 1956. He passed away in 1988. In 1995 she married Norman Hubbard. He passed away in 2011. Thelma was a graduate of the Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing and was employed by St. Lukes Hospital (Covenant) as a Registered Nurse for over 15 years. She was an active member of Ames United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting, bowling, traveling and playing board games. Surviving are her six children, Rebecca Bank; Jeanette Kinne; Rick Schattilly and his wife, Kathy; David Schattilly; Heidi Lepeak; Craig Schattilly and his wife, Gretchen; her grandchildren, Amy, Kristen, Eric, Mitchell, Sean, Jacob, Samantha, Skylar, Shelbie; Brenden, Brian, Ashley, Bradley; her great grandchildren, Colin, Kendall, Jacob and Emma; her sister, Leatrice Holm; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marjean Samson; a brother-in-law, Carl Schattilly; many nieces and nephews. A daughter-in-law, Renee Schattilly, and a sister, Naomi (Ann) Leisure have also predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, at Ames United Methodist Church, 810 State St. Saginaw. Rev. Scott Lindenberg will officiate. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
