Thelma M. Voorheis (Favel)

Voorheis, (Favel) Thelma M. Passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Francis Home at the age of 93 years. Thelma was born April 2, 1921 in Midland, Michigan the daughter of the late Thomas and Mae (Shook) Mashue. She married Elmer Favel March 10, 1940. He predeceased her July 27, 1973. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Dixie (Jim) Davis; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Ted Temple; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Favel; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dennis Favel; a daughter, Darlene Temple; four sisters and one brother. Thelma's family would like to thank St. Francis Home for the wonderful care they gave their Mom. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
