Wurtzel, Thelma Minnie Saginaw, MI Passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Cartwright Care Center. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Guy E. and Eva M. (Closs) Chamberlin was born July 13, 1919 in Laporte, Michigan. She married William Wurtzel, August 22, 1936. He passed away April 30, 1973. Thelma attended Saginaw Business Institute and was employed by Dow Chemical. Together with her husband they engaged in Farming in Thomas Twp. all of there lives. She was a member of the John Alden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an active member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church and had served as church secretary. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau and the Saginaw Republican Women and loved to travel. Surviving are her nieces, nephews and their spouses, Dean and Jeanette Rusch; Sally Rusch; Sharon and Bob Root; Lynne and Jim Debo; Gail and Ralph Clements; Bonnie and Randall Romain; Ronald and Dale Smith; Margaret and Basil Sherlund; Keith and Carolyn Chamberlin; many great nieces and great nephews. Two brothers, Otis and Ern Chamberlin have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Owen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral services.
