Pratt, Theodore Francis, Jr. Rowlett, Texas (formerly of Saginaw, MI)
Theodore F. Pratt Jr. age 84 and a resident of Saginaw Michigan for 82 years passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on December 2nd 2015.
Theodore was born on June 10, 1931 in Kochville Township to the late Theodore Sr. and Hazel (Miller) Pratt. He married Janet (Lord) Pratt on May 18, 1957. She predeceased him in 1990 as a result of an automobile accident. He shared a special friendship with Ruth Behm for many years following. Theodore served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 439. He enjoyed bowling and received many awards over the years for his accomplishments. He also enjoyed playing the card game Euchre and was part of several euchre clubs. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan fan where he was an alumnus. He had many beloved dogs over the years, but Molly his German Shorthair was his favorite.
Theodore and his father started Pratt Builders back in 1957 and after Theodore Sr. passed away Theodore Jr. continued the business until 1983 when he retired. He built several hundred homes in the Saginaw area over his career.
Surviving are his two children Michael Alan Pratt and wife Kathy and their 3 daughters, Michele, Melissa, and Megan of St. Augustine Florida and Lynn Marie(Pratt) Schick and husband Mike, and three children, Amanda (Chris) Chorn, Lauren Schick, and Garrett Schick all of Dallas Texas. One brother-in-law, Donald Lord and wife Wanda, and sister-in-law, Kay (Lord) Hoffman. Nephews: Timothy Brown, Steven Lord, Robert Lord, and Nieces Deborah (Brown) Williams, Kristina (Lord) Schnepf and husband John.
Theodore was predeceased by one sister Marion (Pratt) Brown and bother-in-law John C. Brown, and brother-in-laws, Bruce and Robert Lord, and one nephew John (Jack) Brown.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, December 28th at Kochville United Methodist Church. A burial will take place at Kochville Methodist Church Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings can be given to Kochville United Methodist Church.
