Theodore Joseph Bomba

Theodore Joseph Bomba Birch Run, Michigan Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the age of 100 years. Theodore was born September 28, 1916, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the late Vincent and Magdelena (Glodowska) Bomba. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Gladys Sawatzki on June 6, 1942; she predeceased him on July 13, 1993. He enjoyed farming, fishing, driving tractor, and taking care of his land. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and cherished the annual Easter egg hunt he set up for them. He is survived by his children, Theodore (Catherine), Donald, Robert, Charles (Theresa), and John (Michelle) Bomba, Shirley Szczepanik, and Jane Gibson; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Louis, Leo, Stella, Helen, Domicella, and Mary; and son-in-law, Robert Gibson. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017, at SS Francis and Clare Parish, Sacred Heart Church 12157 Church Street in Birch Run. Fr. Thomas McNamara will officiate with burial will take place in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Hwy from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. where the family will gather at 4:00 p.m. for a prayer service.
