Thomas E. Ballien

Beloved husband, father, grandfather passed away on August 24, 2024 at the age of 67 years.

The son of the late Donald and Helen (Thomas) Ballien was born on September 12, 1956 in Saginaw, where he was a life-long resident. Tom was a graduate of the first graduating class of Swan Valley High School, in 1974. He married Carolyn Raymaker on August 27, 1977; she survives him. Tom worked as truck driver for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, going to his cabin up north. Tom especially cherished his grandsons, and loved spending time with them and attending their events.

Surviving besides his wife Carolyn, are their children: Tabitha (Brett) Garchow, Tiffany (Paul) Guymer, grandsons: Hunter, Logan Garchow, Kane, Kash, Kolt Guymer, his sister Wendy Hoffman of FL, sister-in-law Ann Curran, brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Janice Raymaker, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tom was predeceased by his sister Debra Ballien, father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Louise Raymaker, and his brother-in-law James Curran.

A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
