70, of Freeland, Michigan

      Loving husband, father, grandfather and son passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side.

      The son of Caroline (Reiss) and the late Adolph Christ Behmlander was born February 5, 1953 in Bay City, Michigan. He married Jennifer Elizabeth Kuschinsky, September 14, 2007. She survives him.  Thomas served with the U. S. Marine Corp from 1971-1974.  He was employed by Central Ceiling, retiring in 2017. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #706. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his dogs, and burning trees.

     Surviving besides his wife, Jennifer, are six children and their spouses,  Thomas Behmlander; Carrie and Michael Davis; Jackie and Anthony Erskine; Jacob and Makenzie Behmlander; Sean and Ellen Speer; Brayden Behmlander; seven grandchildren, Colin, Jacob, Harlee, Elizabeth, John, Harper and Lucy; his sisters and brother, Diane and Bob Goetz; Donna Richard; Mary Parks (Bill); Sally King; Bob Behmlander; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, April Rohde; Lisa and Dennis Miller; Tiffany Nitz and Robert Kuschinsky; many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

     The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. Pastor Michael Leiter will officiate with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Amelith.  Friends may visit with family at the funeral chapel from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Those wanting to make a show of their sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the family discretionary fund C/O Jennifer Behmlander. www.casefuneralhome.com
