Thomas F. Kennedy Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at the age of 84 years. Tom was born March 22, 1931, in Saginaw to the late Henry and Edith (Leach) Kennedy. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Tom married Susannah Stark in Fort Knox, KY on December 13, 1952; she survives him. He was a charter member of St. Helen's Catholic Church and a member of American Legion Post #439. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, horseshoe player, and euchre player. Besides his wife Sue he is survived by his children, Karen (William) Sullivan, Gail (Chet) Norris, Sandra (Daniel) Hagood, Julie Okowit, Matthew (Jann) Kennedy, Mark (Connie) Kennedy; grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Allyson, Marcy, Wendy, Ryan, Thomas II, Maria, Melissa, Joseph, David, Emily, James, John, Katie, and Zachary; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Vern (Barb) Kennedy, Paul Kennedy, and Ellen Jarvela; brother-in-law, Russell Dowis; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Kennedy; grandson Brendan, siblings, Jean Dowis, Elizabeth Stark, and Edward Kennedy; and son-in-law, Dominic Okowit. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church. Fr. Ron Wagner will officiate with burial to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery under the auspices of VFW Post 1859 of Carrollton. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road and again at church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
