Thomas L. Frank

Thomas L. Frank Saginaw, MI Passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at St. Marys of Michigan at the age of 77 years. The son of the late Alfred T. and Eleanor A. (DeGroat) Frank was born on June 15, 1941 in Saginaw. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, he attended Saginaw Valley State University obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1967. Tom then received his Juris Doctor from University of Detroit Law School. Tom served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge. Upon his return from law school, Tom was dedicated to representing people as their lawyer for almost 50 years in the practice of law. Tom was also involved in many issues and causes. He was the former Chairman of the Saginaw County Democratic Party and a Delegate for President Jimmy Carter to the 1980 Democratic National Convention. He remained an active supporter of The Carter Center, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and many local charitable organizations. He was a founding member of the Michigan River Guides Association and active member of the State Bar of Michigan, Saginaw Field and Stream Club, United Schutzhund Clubs of America. He enjoyed fishing for Steelhead on the Betsie River and raising his German Shepherds Surviving are his former spouse Geraldine B. Frank, his son Alfred T. (DeeAnn) Frank and granddaughter Ella E. Frank; His brother Robert L. (Katrine) Frank; his many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends Randy and Jackie Sova. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Donald Frank and James Frank. He loved and cared deeply for his friends and family and will be missed. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Hurley Coleman will be officiate. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
