Thomas L. Williams

Thomas L. Williams Lake, Michigan Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Tom was born April 8, 1938, in Flint, MI. He graduated in 1956 from Mt. Morris High School where he played football and ran track. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Buick where he worked as a Journeyman Welder/Fabrication Supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, and picking berries and morel mushrooms. Tom never met a lake or a forest that he didn't love. He enjoyed University of Michigan football, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Steve) Chapman, Scott (Julie) Williams, Nicole (Art) Schultz; grandchildren, Tyler and Bailey Chapman, Paige and Jenna Williams, MacKenzie and Baylie Clontz, and Kali Martin; great-granddaughter, Aurora; several beloved stepsiblings, stepchildren and step-grandchildren; and special friend Marie. He was predeceased by his parents, Delbert Williams, Alvira (Thomas) Williams, and Truman and Verna Bissel; and his sisters, Pat and Loretta. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 6400 McCarty Rd. Fr. Jim Carlson will officiate with cremation to follow. Military honors will be rendered by VFW Post #1859 of Carrollton. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
