Thomas “TJ” Allen Willett of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved son, boyfriend, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at his home. He was 24 years old. Thomas Allen Willett was born on March 9, 1996, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Thomas Allen and Karen Louise (Meyers) Willett. He was a proud 2014 graduate of Swan Valley High School. TJ was previously employed as a cashier with Meijer on Tittabawassee Road for a couple of years. He was currently employed as a Welder with Saginaw Control and Engineering. As a teenager, TJ enjoyed skateboarding and playing disc golf. As he grew older, TJ enjoyed playing video games, kayaking, and spending time with his family and friends. He found peace and solace by listening to music and traveling up state. Above all, he loved and cherished his Husky, Kova. He will forever be remembered for his kind and caring heart, his selflessness to all he loved, and for the happiness to many lives.
Surviving are his parents: Thomas and Karen Willett of Saginaw; girlfriend, Felicia Samaniego of Saginaw, with a child on the way; five uncles and three aunts: Ken Willett, Brenda (Bert) Klich, William (Pat) Meyers, David Meyers, Emma (Rodney) Trumble, Virginia (Mac) Rodriguez, Arthur (Angela) Meyers, Alan (Charlotte) Meyers; a very special great-aunt, Charlotte Booth; dear friends: Anthony Verdusco, Nathan Davis, and Frank Zolnierek.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Naomi Ruth Clark, Kenneth Willett, and William and Edith Meyers; cousin, James "Bo" Cody.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Pursuant to the current state executive order, indoor building capacity is limited, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o his father, Thomas Willett.
