Thomas “Tom” George Parasiliti of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital. He was 75 years old. Thomas George Parasiliti was born on November 6, 1944, in Jamestown, New York, to the late Alfred and Audrey (Williams) Parasiliti. He was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. Following graduation, Tom proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam; he was honorably discharged receiving many awards and commendations. Upon his return from the military, Tom attended Jamestown Community College. He then moved to Michigan to work for General Motors and met his wife, Linda Smith, before beginning his 25-year career at Gase Bakery in Saginaw, Michigan; retiring in July 2000. Tom was a devout and faithful Catholic his entire life, passing the tradition on to his children. He was a member of American Legion Post #439. Tom was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports over the years. Tom also enjoyed playing cards and golfing. Above all, Tom loved and cherished his family; especially vacationing with his family every year for the past 20 years and never missing the every Sunday family barbecues. He will forever be remembered for the love he shared, his excellent sense of humor, and for his generosity. Tom was a remarkable, profound, and priceless man and his presence will be dearly missed.
Surviving are two sons and daughter: Tim (Liane) Parasiliti of Freeland; Tom (Courtney) Parasiliti of Thomas Twp.; Andrea (John) Grzemkowski of Reese; seven grandchildren: Brooke (Philip) Cooley of North Port, FL; Lauren Davis of Lansing; Hunter Parasiliti of Freeland; Thomas Parasiliti of Thomas Twp.; Emily Parasiliti of Thomas Twp.; John Grzemkowski of Reese; Alyssa Grzemkowski of Reese; five great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Jace, Karter, Teagan, and Londyn; sister, Becky (Mike) Parasiliti of NY. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Parasiliti; brother Dave Parasiliti.
A private funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Military honors will follow under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post #439. Rite of Committal will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
