Thomas R. Wielinski Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, age 78 years. He was born on April 7, 1938, son of the late Carl and Josephine (Dikos) Wielinski, in Detroit and raised in Au Gres. He served in the U.S Army. Thomas married Sherry Bow on April 3, 1971, she survives him. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was a member of the Freeland Conservation Club, enjoyed archery, shooting trap and sporting clays.
Surviving are his wife Sherry; his children, Eric (Elizabeth) Wielinski and Adrianne (Craig) Champagne; granddaughters, Claire and Aubrey Champagne; sisters, Esther (Paul) Proulx and Barbara (Glen) Cook; brothers, James (Rose) Wielinski and Joseph Wielinski; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Judy) Bow; sister-in-law, Maxine (Don) Barton; also many nieces and nephews, including his very special nephew, Mike Proulx. He was predeceased by one son, Kevin Bertram Wielinski.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5250 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Homer Mosley will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of donor's choice.
