Timothy “Tim” W. Gaertner of Akron, Michigan formerly of Caseville
Beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. He was 43 years old. Timothy William Gaertner was born on June 30, 1976, to the late Joseph Francis and Carole Elaine (Gorte) Gaertner. He was a proud 1995 graduate of Caseville High School. Following graduation, Tim attended the Universal Technical institute of Illinois. He was employed as a construction worker for Dome Corp of North America for many years. Tim was a member of the Eagles Club in Caseville. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being one with nature, especially fishing and hunting. Tim also enjoyed watching NASCAR and riding his dirt bikes and snowmobiles. Above all, Tim loved spending time with his family and upstate at the family cabin.
Surviving are two sisters and three brothers: Cheryl (Jeff) McFadden of Merrill; Patricia (Larry) Keckler of Centerville; Jerry (Sue) Doyle of Three Rivers; Joseph (Rosa) Gaertner, Jr of Akron; Edward (Angela) Gaertner of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Vickey Doyle of White Pigeon; best friend, Ian Starr of Caseville; special nephew, Joseph Gaertner, III of Bad Axe; Also surviving are many additional nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Doyle.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the NIAAA.
