Troy Ramon Ruiz

Saginaw, Michigan 

Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly and was greeted by first born son Troy Jr and wife in Heaven on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at his daughters’ home, with his family at his side. At the age of 62 years.  

The son of Karen (Ritter) Abram and the late Ramon Rojas Ruiz, Troy was born on May 27, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School. Troy celebrated 20+ wonderful years with his high school sweetheart, Annette “Nettie” Elizabeth Santoya. She preceded Troy in death on February 5, 2002. Troy enjoyed playing pool, riding his bike, bowling with his friends and in laws and cooking for his family. Above all, Troy cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.   

Surviving are three sons, and one daughter: Adam Santoya (Mary Gauthier), Marcus Santoya (Haley Nicklyn), Marlena Ruiz (Ronell Hinley Sr), Julian Ruiz (Sabrina Garibay); Grandchildren: Sienna Santoya, Jalissa Santoya, Darrick McCarroll, Marcus Santoya Jr., Demetric Wiley Jr., Julian Ruiz Jr., Alianna Santoya, Da’Mari Ruiz, Alia Ruiz, Aniya Ruiz, Ronell Hinley Jr., Romell Ruiz, Brielle Ruiz, Journee Ruiz, Baby Troy Santoya; Great-grandchild: Seneca Jackson; Mother: Karen Abram; Step-father: George Abram; brothers and sister: Raymond Ruiz, Matthew Abram, Chad Abram, Catriana Abram. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his wife and father, Troy was preceded in death by Troy Ramon Santoya, and Aunt Josephine (Josie) Galaviz, Nephew Jose’ (Boz) Galaviz. 

Honoring Troy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with W.L.
