V. Ruth Miller

Our beloved Aunt Ruth went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, November 1, 2024 with her family by her side at the age of 100 years.

The daughter of the late Rev. Elmer and Ethel Krake. Ruth was born in Pellston, MI October 6, 1924. As a young girl she moved to Lum, MI and graduated from Imlay City High School. After graduating, she moved to Saginaw where she worked at Severance Tool, retiring in 1982. After retiring she worked for Weight Watchers and also volunteered at St. Lukes Hospital for 10 years. She married Wilber Miller, the love of her life, Sept 6, 1947. He predeceased her Dec. 5, 2007 after 60 years of marriage. Bill and Ruth liked bowling and taking side trips around Michigan during weekends. They thoroughly enjoyed their many nieces and nephews and their accomplishments from High School, college, weddings and took in all of the parties and activities.

Her siblings Esther Marie and her husband Harry Severance, Wesley and his wife Doris Krake, Russel James and his wife, Alice Krake, Rev Marcus and his wife Virginia Krake all pre-deceased her. 

Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Ruth’s great-nephew, Rev. David Severance will officiate with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at the funeral chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
