Valentine "Val" Coeur

Valentine "Val" Coeur Bridgeport, MI Passed away on October 27, 2018 at the age of 84 years. The son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Morton) Coeur was born on January 28, 1934 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School; the class of 1958. Val then served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He married Hazel Marie Premo in May 28, 1960; she predeceased him December 23, 1984. Val was a member of the Reformed Latter Day Saints, the Boys Club in Bay City, Foresters, and led several Boy Scout Troops. He enjoyed BINGO, bowling, golfing, word searches, working on cars and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children: Gerald Coeur, Shelly (William) Kennedy, Steven (Kathy) Coeur, Norma (Kirt) Bierlein, Edie Coeur, grandchildren: Elissa, Darby, Desiree, Deirdree, Dustin, Darcie, Devin, Melissa, Al, John, Jeremy, Samantha, Nicholas, Shelby, Chad, Courtney, Christopher, Heidi, 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his wife and parents, Val was predeceased by two sons: Paul and Robert Wesener, and his grandson Chris. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
