Vera Clara Woodke

Vera Clara Woodke Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at her home. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Ida (Bernreuter) and William Schiefer was born December 28, 1924 in Frankentrost, Michigan. She married Rheinhardt A. Woodke, May 22, 1948. He passed away November 9, 2001. She was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, Bridgeport. Vera enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, puzzles, playing cards, cooking and housekeeping. Surviving are a son, two daughters and their spouses, Raymond and Sandy L. Woodke; Sandra K. Woodke; Rosanne M. and Bob Licht, all of Bridgeport; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bobby and Mia; Tom and Tammy; Heather and Mark; Robert and Christina; Stefanie and Joel; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Milda Persons; a brother-in-law, Jim Mocny; several nieces and nephews. A son, Leonard Woodke, and four sisters, Julia, Alvina, Marian and Donna have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 7877 Bell Rd. Bridgeport, MI. Rev. John Sarge will officiate with burial in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Bridgeport from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral liturgy. Mrs. Woodke's family wish to thank Covenant-V.N.A.
