Verna Francis Webster (Bolger) of Saginaw
Age 87
Passed away in her home on March 26th, 2022. Verna was born in Saginaw on November 11th, 1934, to the late Chris Bolger & Erma Webster (Birshing). A 1952 graduate of Arthur Hill, Verna spent her working years as the director of the Salvation Army’s daycare in Saginaw. After meeting at a young age and correspondence during his time in the service, Verna was united in marriage with Ford Webster on August 1st, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 27th, 1993. She loved to spend time in a garden full of daisies and butterflies and loved crafts of all sorts. Most importantly, she loved her grandkids and great grandkids loads and loads. She is remembered as being strong-willed but kind, and especially loving.
Verna is survived by five children: Kathy Bolger of Saginaw, Timothy (Terri) Webster of Akron, Ohio, Elizabeth (Ali) Rezaee of Davis, California, Thomas Webster of Meridian, Mississippi, & Jeff (Sharon) Webster of Saginaw; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister Janet Bayn; and sister-in-law Diane Bolger; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Verna was preceded in death by siblings Georgia Ann “Phoebe” Bolger, Sue (John) Grochowski, & Chris Bolger.
In accordance with Verna’s wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Verna’s life will take place at 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 5th at W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Home, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, with visitation preceding from 4:00pm until the time of service.
