Vesta Carroll

Passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, age 93 years. She was born on July 19, 1923, daughter of the late Robert and Matilda (Neahausen) Lauria, in Kawkawlin. Vesta married Grant Carroll on June 19, 1954, he predeceased her on July 20, 2001. She retired from Borden's Dairy after many years of service. She was a member of the Carrollton's Senior Group, enjoyed bowling and was an avid Euchre player. Surviving are her very special nieces and nephews, Janet Bell, Nancy Dempsey, Carole Moore, Terry Bauer, Tim (Cynthia) Bauer and Jim (Lynn) Kolpf; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Allen, Jesse, George, Ben and Clayton Lauria; her sisters, Julia Szyilagi and Rosetta Summers. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, 203 S. Michigan Ave. Rev. Carol McCleary will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
