Vickie Mae Sharon

Vickie Mae Sharon of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at her home. She was 68 years old. Vickie Mae LaLonde was born on March 2, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Gerald E. and Joan C. (Kennedy) LaLonde. She was a proud 1973 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, Vickie married Ronald N. Wachner, Jr. She later married Terry D. Sharon on December 31, 2016; he survives her. Vickie was employed as the manager of the Brass Radiator Restaurant for many years. She later began working as the supervisor of Jacobson's Restaurant in downtown Saginaw for over 20 years. Vickie finished her working career as a sales representative with Eby-Brown, serving 15 years of loyal and dedicated service. Though she enjoyed working, the biggest honor of her life was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime member and former president of the Saginaw Optimist Club, a member of the Lions Club, and participated for many years as a judge in The Saginaw News cooking contest. Vickie enjoyed volunteering for her community. She loved traveling, especially to Tennessee to visit her children and grandchildren. Her little piece of heaven was cheering for her favorite "Big Ten" team, the University of Michigan, and took great pride in trying to convert others into fans. She will forever be remembered for her kind, caring, and loving heart, for her compassion and selflessness to anyone in need, for her love and affinity towards her cats, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are her husband, Terry D. Sharon of Saginaw; four daughters: Caroline (Robin) Paugh of Brooksville, FL; Tracie Wachner of Shelbyville, TN; Jamie Wachner of Shelbyville, TN; Ronda (Richard) Howey of Shelbyville, TN; five grandchildren: Anthony Hakowski, Sarah Wachner, Jayden Cochrane, Zoey Howey, and RJ Howey; two brothers: Gerald Eugene (Deb) LaLonde Jr. of Saginaw; John Alan (Cindy) LaLonde of Shelbyville, TN; a special friend, Betty Timmreck of Bridgeport. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald E. LaLonde, Sr.; mother, Joan C. LaLonde; and a sister, Joy Ann Price.
