Vincent Wayne Byron

Vincent Wayne Byron Merrill, Michigan Went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the age of 78 years. Vince was born September 4, 1937, in Saginaw to the late Neil and Ruby (Foster) Byron. He graduated from Manton High School. He then promptly married his high school sweetheart Shirley Larson on February 18, 1956. She predeceased him on May 23, 2010. He worked as a machinist first at Baker Perkins and later at Merrill Tool and Machine, retiring after more than 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, golf, and spending time with his friends and family. Vince is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Byron; sons, Jeffrey Byron and Douglas (Kim) Byron; grandchildren, Jared (Bridget) Obendorfer, Nick Byron and Jessica Reif, Emily (Nathan) Roush, Tiffany (James) Quasarano, Kelsey Mehl, and Nadine (Michael "Bernie") Bernardoni; great-grandchildren, Cara Roush and Charlie Obendorfer; sisters, Charlene (Edward) Burch, Beverly Patton, Carol Taylor, and Pauline Vedrode; and his special friend Karen Goodman. He was predeceased by his son Gregory Byron; and siblings, Richard Byron, James Byron, Neil Byron Jr., Donald Byron, Susan Byron, Virginia Drew, Vivian Willman, and Leontine Letts. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Merrill Wesleyan Church 3765 N. Chapin Rd.
