Viola "Vi" Lena Buckey

Viola Lena Buckey ("Vi") Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Covenant-Harrison. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Fred C. and Lena (Wenzel) Schultz was born October 7, 1925 in Merrill, Michigan. She married Arnold (Bob) Buckey, August 14, 1943. He passed away April 5, 2001. Vi was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. A stroke in December 2016 limited her ability to be mobile. Prior to her stroke, she enjoyed working in her yard, going to McDonald's in Shields, Visiting her departed loved ones at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.and socializing with friends. A special thank you to her sister-in-law, Nan Buckey for being her close companion and friend for so many years. Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Everette (Sally) Schultz Sr.; Arnold (Barbara) Schultz; her sisters-in-law, Nan Buckey and Maxine Davis; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also predeceased by a brother, Don F. Schultz. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Joshua Becker will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
