Ruhl, Virginia J. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died Friday, March 11, 2016 at the age of 88 years. She was born the daughter of the late John A. and Winifred D. (Eddy) Williams on December 3, 1927 in Laurium, MI. She married James Robert Ruhl; he predeceased her after fifty seven years of marriage in 2005. Virginia was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, helping in the kitchen and was part of the Mirium Circle. She also volunteered her time with the Girl Scouts and the Red Cross blood drives. Virginia enjoyed reading, word searches and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (William) Stark, Hilton Head, SC, Patricia Phelps, Essexville, MI; five grandchildren, Kristofor (Kristen) Stark, Hollywood, MD, Alison (Ben) DeCicco, McHenry, IL, Jaime (Marshall) Rennick, Troy, MI, Sarah Phelps Midland, MI and Kary (Chad) Schafer, Canton, MI; ten great grandchildren, Riley and Josie DeCicco, Will, Drew, and John Stark, Scott Rau, Owen and Oliver Rennick, Makenna and Peyton Schafer, her siblings: Barbara (Al) Schwencer, Frederick (Jan) Williams, Jim (special friend Annette) Williams, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including her close friend Nell "Seal" Mauck. She was predeceased by her son-in-law: R. Patrick Phelps, Sister Marion (Wally) Jurvelin, sister-in-law Judy Williams, and her niece Marsha Hollis. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot. The Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate. W. L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. as well as on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
