Virginia R. Sudhoff

Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2022; at the age 84 years. She was born on January 12, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Thelma (Lakin) Curtindale. Virginia married Harold J. Sudhoff on November 17, 1962; he preceded her in death on May 2, 2017. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University, then continued her education at Saginaw Valley State University earning her Master's Degree in Teaching. Virginia taught for many years and cared for her students in both private and public schools, retiring from Swan Valley School District. She was an involved member at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephens Catholic Church, serving as a Lay Minister for the Saginaw Diocese. Virginia enjoyed reading, listening to music and playing the piano. Above all, Virginia cherished the time with her family and loved ones.
Surviving are her daughters: Cynthia (James) Szott, Candice (Gordon) McIntosh; grandchildren, Courtney (Alex) Janssen, James Szott III, Jacob McIntosh, Hannah McIntosh; her brother: Edward (Barb) Curtindale. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Fr. Baltha Raj will officiate. Entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
