Virginia Ruth Spear

Virginia Ruth Spear (Gigi) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Lester and Mary (Williams) Colpean was born June 25, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Nelson R. Spear, June 25, 1949. He passed away February 12, 1990. Virginia was a member of Immanuel Bible Church and had been employed by Lufkin Rule and Sears. She loved to write, sending many notes and cards, make Afghans, but most of all enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Cathy and Philip Luter, Saginaw, MI; Robin and James Smith, Colorado; Kim and Sherri Spear, North Carolina; Larry Spear, Saginaw, MI; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Lyle Cousins; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and a sister, Jean Clunie and a brother, Robert Colpean. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Immanuel Bible Church, 5433 N. Center Rd. Saginaw. Pastor Mark R. Hazen will officiate. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Immanuel Bible Church building fund.
