Gaertner, Vivian M. Swan Creek, Township Passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014 at home at the age of 90 years. Vivian was born July 30, 1923, in Saginaw. The daughter of the late Clifford and Eva (Burgess) Brush. She married Ernest Gaertner he predeceased her December 6, 1999. Vivian served in The U.S. Army during WWII. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Washington Society and L.O.O.M. Lodge #82. Surviving are two sons; Ronald and Margaret Gaertner, Chicago, Illinois; Ernest (Lee) and Rebecca Gaertner, Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren; Michael and Jessica Gaertner; Amy Hamlin, Kurt Gaertner, Brad and Mary Gaertner, Lindsay and Kyle Kings; four great-grandchildren; Peyton Gaertner, Kelsey Hamblin, Brennan Gaertner and Ella Gaertner; two sisters and two brothers; Eva Marie Pahl, Jan Emeott, Jerry Brush and Darrel Brush; Many nieces and nephews; three brothers and two sisters predeceased her Clifford Brush, James Brush, Virgil Brush, Betty Fehn and Bonnie Dietrich. Mass of Christian burial will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday April 28, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw Michigan 48609. Rev Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial to follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 201 N. Miller Rd. Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family and friends will meet at 7:00 p.m. for a parish vigil service, and then on Monday From 9:00 until the time of the funeral at the church.
