Wallace L. Gulliver Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017, age 82 years. He was born on April 13, 1935, son of the late Gertrude Emeott and Emery Gulliver, in Saginaw. Wallace retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 30 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. Local #699. Wallace was a man of strong work ethic and took pride in everything he fixed and built with his hands. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was very generous, helpful and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Terri (Ronald) Schmidt, Mark (Joy) Gulliver and Kristine Gulliver; his grandchildren, Nicole (Rob) Fresorger, Rachelle Schmidt, Rebecca (Steve) Kumar, Amanda (Jason) Cooper, Kelly (Dain) Zielinski, Rebecca Gulliver and Noah Gulliver Mitchell; seven great grandchildren; the mother of his chidren, Helen Gulliver; brother, Shirle (Donna) Gulliver; sister-in-law, Rosemary Gulliver and his buddy Henry. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Louis Gulliver and his sister, Joyce Powell. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cartwright Care Center.
A celebration of life will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, 9265 Geddes Road. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Cartwright Care Center or the Gulliver Family.
