Walter Frederick Ostrander

Walt Ostrander Ventura, California Formerly of Saginaw Age 71 years, completed his earthly journey surrounded by family on September 16, 2018. Walt is survived by his wife, Sara, and daughters Melissa Reid and Amy Ostrander. Walt retired from Arrow Uniform after 31 years of service. Walt and Sara had recently moved to California to enjoy the weather, the beach, and the year-round golfing. Walt loved sports, especially his beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions. He was known for his big-hearted generosity, ability to make anyone smile, booming voice, and summer straw hats. He was immensely proud of his wife and daughters. His positive outlook, joyful spirit, and deep strength will be greatly missed by many friends and family. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Marilyn Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, September 24, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Miller Rd. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at Resurrection Lutheran Church.
