Walter H. Benemann Saginaw, Michigan Passed away with his son by his side on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the age of 95 years. Walter was born January 25, 1921, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to the late Emmett and Julia (Hough) Benemann. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII at the second landing at Guadalcanal. He was a member of the U.S. Marine-First Marine Division Group. He enjoyed helping people, reading, being in nature, listening to music, painting florals, and designing greeting cards. In Pennsylvania he and his wife attended New Kensington First Assembly of God. While in Saginaw, with his son, he attended church at First Assembly of God on Mackinaw Road. He is survived by his son DeVaughn "Ben" (Bonnie Jean) Benemann; daughter, Constance "Connie" (Frank) Miles; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Romaine Bailey (Roller) Benemann; and his daughter Candace Gunther. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Home for the wonderful care they provided to Walter. According to his wishes cremations has taken place and no service will be held.
