Warren James Haas

Warren James (Jim) Haas Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the Cartwright Care Residence. Age 84 years. The son of the late William and Helen (Russell) Haas was born April 14, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Mildred Ellen Zimmerman, March 8, 1952. She passed away December 25, 1999. Later, Jim married Betty Kocks. She survives him. Jim served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of V.F.W. Post #1859. He was employed by Bushey Auto Glass, Vescio's Supermarket before owning and operating Jim's Auto Glass in Gladwin for many years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, enjoyed being "up north", old and new cars, but most of all being with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Betty, are two sons, two daughters and their spouses, James Michael and Maureen Haas; Gerald Jay and Lori Haas; Paula and John Galarno; Patricia and Al Rivera; seven step-children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Leland Haas and a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Bill Brandimore; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St. Saginaw. Rev. Michael Korte will officiate with Military burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
