Wayne Alan Evans

Evans, Wayne Alan, Sr. Bridgeport, MI Passed away Thursday, April 02, 2015 at his home, age 56 years. Wayne was born in Saginaw, Michigan April 7, 1958 the son of the late Victor and June (Burke) Evans. He married Sandra Jean Schmidt May 1, 1976. She predeceased him December 7, 1992. He then married Corrinna Hamlet on August 30, 2002 and she survives him. He served in the United States Army from 1973-1978. Wayne drove truck for 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed woodworking and loved his family as his most important hobby. In addition to his wife, Corrinna, Wayne is survived by three sons, Wayne Jr., Nicholas David and Joshua Ryan; a daughter, Stacy Marie; four step-children, Danielle, Donavan, Trevor and Chelsey; 17 grandchildren and a grandbaby on the way; four siblings, Sue, Chet, Sye and Richard. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jim and Carl. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. R. B. Ouellette will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery where military services will take place under the care of VFW Post No. 1859, Carrollton.
