Wayne Stimpson Winchell

Wayne Stimpson Winchell Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 91 years. The son of the late Roy and Margaret (Stimpson) Winchell was born August 23, 1922 in Freeland, Michigan. He married Violet L. Scoles, August 15, 1942. She passed away December 26, 2007. Wayne attended Michigan State University and was employed as an automobile salesman, retiring from Martin Chevrolet with over 20 years of service. He was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Surviving are three sons, two daughters and their spouses, Marc and Gail Winchell; Ross and Kim Winchell; Brian Winchell; Cathlene and Terry Daley; Christene and Leon LaRue; four grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Brian Montini; Lisa and Matt Clark; Kelly and Diego Flores; Amy Winchell; five great grandchildren, Tobin and Riley Clark; Noah and Zoie Montini; Tomas Flores; a sister and two brothers and their wives, Marjorie Krueger; Keith and Mary Lou Winchell; Grant and Paula Winchell; a sister-in-law and her husband, Ann and Bill Craft; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Bruce Winchell has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Jerry Densmore will officiate with burial in Tittabawassee Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
