William A. Palmer, Sr.

Palmer Sr., William A. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the age of 81 years. The son of the late George and Helen (Eastwell) Palmer was born on October 12, 1934 in Saginaw. He married Audry A. Stevens on February 27, 1954; she predeceased him on February 28, 2011. William retired from GM in 1997 after 43 years of service as a machine repairman. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the NRA. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a "Mr. Fix it" to all who knew him. He most especially enjoyed time with his family and his grandchildren. Surviving are his children: William Palmer, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; Debra (David) Reinhardt, of Burt, MI; Richard (Jaquelin) Palmer of Mt. Morris, MI; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, his brother George Palmer, sister Lucy Scott, sisters-in-law: Ruth Palmer and Nan Palmer and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter Susan Marie Garrison, and his brothers Robert and Marvin Palmer. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
