William B. Merz, Jr. (Billy)

William B. Merz, Jr. (Billy) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, April 15, 2017, age 57 years. He was born on June 8, 1959, son of the late William and Mary (Wald) Merz Sr., in Saginaw. William married Terri Thompson on June 20, 1987, she survives him. He was a member of Moose Lodge #82 and enjoyed reading, watching the Detroit Tigers, U of M Football and spending time with his family. William enjoyed life and will be remembered for having a great sense of humor. Surviving besides his loving wife Terri are his sons, Ryan and Dylan Merz; his siblings, Debbie (Jim) Plowman, David (Lisa) Merz, Richard Merz and Sara Merz; sister-in-law, Tammi (Walt) Seemann; brother-in-law, Mike Thompson and uncle, Mike Wald. He was predeceased by his brother and sister, James and Mary Sue Merz and nephew, Cory Merz. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephens Church, 2711 Mackinaw. Fr. Andy LaFramboise will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Dylan's College Fund or Boy Scout Troop 304.
