William Burbank, Jr.

Passed away May 12, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI. William was born in Saginaw, MI in 1941. He married Donna Jean Smith on October 20, 1962. She survives him. He retired from GM Steering Gear Plant 5 in 1991 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Sanford, MI #2519. He had a winter home in Lake Wales, FL where he belonged to the Booster Club, Horseshoe Club, and the Citizen Assisting Patrol (CAP) Program in Saddlebag Lake Resort. In the early 90's in Hemlock, William helped start the recycling program. William enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters. Laurie Tubbs (Craig) of St. Louis, MI; Michelle Rose (Carlton) of Ft. Myers, FL. He leaves four grandchildren that he took great pleasure in watching them grow into young adulthood: Zachary Tubbs, Brooke Tubbs, Dillan Rose, and Hannah Rose. Also surviving is one sister Sally McDougall (Jim) along with a large extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Christine (Tomasek) Burbank, and by a sister Patricia. Private services have taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Peg Munger Scholarship at the Hemlock High School in Hemlock, MI. Arrangements by W. L. Case and Company.
