William Donald Dwenger Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home. Age 86 years. The son of the late Henry and Catherine (McNichol) Dwenger was born October 6, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Beverly Mae Emeott, November 8, 1952. His wife of 63 years passed away September 14, 2015. William served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry, with 28 years and 2 months of service. He was a truck driver, traveling to all 48 states except Alaska and Hawaii. He also worked for Maple Hill Golf Course for many years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1956. He loved to fish and was known as "Catfish" and enjoyed hosting a fish fry for family and friends at his home. Mr. and Mrs. Dwenger had spent their winters in Florida for many years. Surviving are six children and their spouses, Rose Marie and Earl Denter; Shirley May and Charles Litvin; Mark William and Margie Dwenger; Brenda Lee Graff; Jennifer Lynn and Tim Thurston; Tammy Sue Dwenger and Charles Gregory; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 God Children; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Kyle Kobel; a brother, James Dwenger, two sisters, Thelma Kreuger and Arlene Blaine; and a son-in-law, Gary Graff. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Christ Lutheran Church, 8795 Ederer Rd. Rev. Joshua Becker will officiate with Military burial in Owen Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
